Hi all,
first I will emphasise that PF3+Webdisplay are running without any technical issues on my system. THX for your great product(s).

My little problem is the following:
EDDM for example has two parallel runways und all parkings have rectangular directions to them.
Since ATIS announces one of the left or right runways, the pushback direction is sometimes wrong, because PF3 ATC occasionally clears another RWR respectively RWY direction than ATIS reported.

For this reason it would be useful to annonce the pushback direction in conjunction with the pushback clearance.

Maybe there is a possibility to implement this feature in a future update?

cheers

STrangely enough, I've been thinking about this myself just recently. I'm not sure what happens in the real world but I don't believe push back confirmation gives directional information... but I may be wrong.

I will continue to think of how I might be able to improve things in these situations but it becomes increasingly difficult if you have AI using more than one runway, because dependent on when you receice ATIS and your taxi instructions the two 'could' produce different results.

A cheat that I perform is to NOT opt for push back request/instructions... I simply ask for taxi instructions and then push back anyway, because I then know which way I have to be facing ;)

Dear Dave,
you may right, but the PF3 sequence pretends getting first ATC instructions with initial climb altitude/flightlevel and QNH then I can request pushback and AFTER ready to taxi ground or tower assigns the runway with taxi instructions.
If I understand I have to 'override' thr 'ready for taxi' announcement and directly call for 'taxi'. that's of course possible.
For clarification of the real world instruction sequence I will ask a friend of mine at MUC ATC an will come back with an answer,

For now thank you for your endeavour.

best regards

ok, I've got the answer from MUC:
1. Call Delivery for ATC clearance,
2. Pushback request from Apron every time with direction (Apron, DLH123, Stand 201A, request push-back),
3. Apron clearance: DLH123 push-back approved, facing north,
4. When ready to taxi: taxi instructions by Apron to the actual runway.
5. During taxi: take over by tower
...

cheers

Thanks for that info... unfortunately we don't have 'Facing' in the PF3 vocabulary.

The 'cheat' I use is NOT to use the push back option... i.e. I don't have that option on so am never told to contact nnn,nn for pushback. So I go from clearance to asking for taxi. Once I know which runway I have to use I then use pushback (without requesting it). I hops that makes sense

Instead of 'facing' can you use word 'heading' ?
