Hello!

I have been using PFE for years without problems but since the last major update I don't get any step climb and initial descent instruction. The initial climb altitude referring to the SID is given but no further climb instruction. I have always to ask for climb until I reach my final altitude - same during the descent process.
But I am using the same flightplans as before which have always worked perfectly.
At this link you find the latest log of a flight from EGLL to LFMN as an example which doesn't work:

Thanks in advance for your help,
Christoph

Why did you request a higher altitude before (a) you'd reached the first waypoint (end of you SID) or (b) before you reached the assigned altitude for your SID?

I don't know if my memory is getting worse as I get older...
...I just can't remember how it used to be!

Thanks for your reply.
I asked for a higher altitude because I reached the SID altitude rather quickly and didn't want to interrupt the climb process.

Best regards,
Christoph

But you hadn't reached the SID altitude when asking for FL 120

Ok; does that mean that I don't receive further climb and descent instructions?

Thanks, Christoph

It could do... I will have to investigate further. All I'm saying is if you want to fly a SID then at least do so correctly and if you then have a problem plase report back. In the meantime I will see if there is an issue that can be corrected to cater for those pilots that choose to disregard ATC instructions ;-)

Hi,

today I had the same issue but without SID/STAR. I was flying a VFR flight from EDHK to EKMN with a target altitude of 3500'. At takeoff I get an assigned altitude of 2500' but no further climb instructions to 3500'. During the complete flight the only contact I had was with departure, no instruction to call center. Also at destination no descend instruction was given but maybe the reason for this was that I was not to switched over to center.

Kind regards
Wolfgang
