I’m trying to get the PFE (2.14.0) running…but not with a real success.

1.) The logfile is telling me that I’m missing a wav what is named pfchat406d. It is always if I start with push &
start.
2.) With running PFE it is not possible to open or close other doors than the main door and I can not find any
way make it function.
3.) I’m not able to find a ProFlight 2000 manual….just only the PFE manual.
4.) I’m using two different soundcards. With the default FSX ATC I can use a headphone for only the voices. Is it
possible to get the option with PFE too?

1. Download the accumulative update from the support forum. Stop all other applications that may be running, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs. The reinstall PFE using the accumulative installer (there's no need to uninstall anything first)

2. ???????? PFE doesn't open/close any doors anywhere!!

3. You don't need it... just use the PFE manual

4. Yes I believe so but you will have to search our support forum for the answer... I can remember seeing it mentioned some time ago

If I may butt in here regarding the doors issue. I think the OP means he cannot use the Shift_E_2 key combination when PFE is running, as the 2 key is in use by PFE.

The answer is to not connect PFE to FS until you have shut all the doors.

....or change the PFE hotkey assignments

Or better still have a switch in the cockpit thus negating any key press. My engineers panel lights up if any doors are open and if I click on the lights the doors close and the lights go out. A/c Super VC10

Thanks for the answers. Here are the results of it:

1.) I have installed the accumulative update but without success. PFE is now missing the
pfchat406g but in the folder the 406’er is starting at pfchat406H ???? What else can I do
or what have I done wrong?? Like Dave suggested I stopped all other applications.

2.) Problem is solved. With changed hotkeys it works well.

Turn off UAC and reinstall again if you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

It's most likely that some security software like Norton anti virus is stopping the update from installing properly, try disabling any anti virus software before installing again.

I stopped every programm...nothing more is runnig. Same result.
