Hello,
today I tried to make a flight, but after the clearence request, to which I got the answer from the tower, at the next taxiing request I had no more answer. I tried to exit from PF3, but after the Disconnect command, the message "Waiting for 'disconnect' to complete and the release of PF3 services" appeared and hung. I had to kill the PF3 process to continue. I tried a second time, exiting MSFS and re-entering, but the result was the same: after the taxiing request PF3 doesn't respond, and remains frozen (whatever hotkey I try doesn't do anything, in the Caption the taxiing request message remains). Also this time when I pressed Disconnect the message "Waiting for 'disconnect' to complete and the release of PF3 services" appeared and the program froze. I attach the zip with the logs.
Thank you.

It's difficult to say if there's a problem or not because when you kill PF3 via Task Manager I get an incomplete log, due to Windows I/O buffering.

My guess, however, is the taxi instructions are taking a while to calculate, for whatever reason. This can happen at larger complex airports and/or if there is a problem with the airport's AFCAD file. So, if you go to Options #2, then Advanced Options, then under the 'Misc' column select 'Use PF3 Thread' and save your changes. Now try the same flight again but wait... even if it takes 5 minutes or more.... just wait and PF3 WILL complete the task. At that point, if you consider it's taken far too long please report back and don't forget to attach the debug log. We will then be able to determine exactly what's happening.

Thank you for your reply.
The departure airport is LIRQ (certainly not a big airport...), from which with PF3 and MSFS I have made some flights in these days without problems. I will activate the separate thread option for taxiing and post the log.

Enabling the option ''Use PF3 Thread'' did not change much. The tower responded with "stand by" and after that nothing. I waited 10 minutes, after which I pressed ''Disconnect from FS'' and this time I was able to exit without having to kill the process. So I hope the new logs will help.

Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm this looks like some bad taxiway data... possibly a bad AFCAD file (or whatever the equivalent is in MSFS).

We have two tax path calculation routines... the first which is very fast and a backup, much slower routine. Both use data from MakeRwys, one uses lat/lon co-ordinates whilst the other uses taxiway connection data.

The first routine completed in a few seconds but was unable to find a suitable connecting path. The backup routine then ran and it looks like it actually found a route but it took 10 minutes and was actually just completing when you hit 'disconnect'.

So, something is amiss... you could try rebuilding the PF3 database (including running MakeRwys) but I somehow doubt it will make any difference.

Is this LIRQ a default airport?

Thank you very much. No, it is not the default airport, but LIRQ by Gaya simulations.

Ah, well there's the problem then. You need to raise the issue with the developers of that airport.

Thank you. For the moment I will try to change the parking position, because actually I have not had problems with other flights I have made from other parking positions.

That would be good to determine which area is causing the issue and should help the developer locate the bad data element... the more information you can provide them the better.

Please keep us updated
