I've done some digging around the forums and it looks like I may have found my answer; however, I would like to bounce it against the experts before I run off in the wrong direction.

I start MSFS and load into my starting airport after clicking 'Fly' which loads me into the plane, connect PF3, click the 'Ready to fly' button to start in the cockpit (I always start cold and dark), then start REX WF2022 which injects the weather. By the time I have the power going and dial in for ATIS WF2022 has already injected the weather. The ATIS I get is not matching what WF2022 is feeding. So, am I correct in thinking that the issue lies somewhere in WF2022 and FSUIPC talking to each other to get the weather updated? How often does FSUIPC update the weather? Shouldn't it be as often as WF2022 is feeding it in?

Anyway, this hasn't been a big issue because WF2022 provides me with live weather for where I'm flying and I have been selecting the option to use live weather when I start PF3. So, things have been matching up. I am wondering though, is it possible to just direct PF3 to a folder to read a Meter file? WF2022 creates one, just not sure where it is stored off the top of my head. I'm also asking because if I want to fly with historical weather loaded I would like to ensure I am getting correct ATIS info.

There is no weather interface in FSUIPC... it was deprecated by ASOBO and there's no indication (to my knowledge) as to when this issue might be addressed. This is why PF3 uses live weather... not the live weather used by MSFS, as that has always been somewhat of a problem too, but an actual external live weather feed. I have no idea where the REX WF2022 program obtains it's data
