I have P3D and MSFS on two separate SSD's, each with its own bootable copy of W10. PF3 is currently installed on the P3D drive. Can I also install it to the MSFS drive? Obviously, I can only use one copy at a time. I can't find the answer in the Manual or FAQ's or searching this forum. Advice please.

Thanks in advance.

I have to be honest and say I don't know, as the intricacies of the online licensing process is not mine. You can certainly install it as many time as you wish but not sure if you'd be able to activate it for each drive... my guess is not... but you could also try.

Do you not have a another drive, shared by both Win 10 installations, where you could install PF3?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do have another shared SSD so I'll try that option. That hadn't occured to me.

Dave

Just FYI this doesn't work. The licensing system seems to know that PF3 is linked to P3D and won't allow the same installation to run in MSFS even off the same shared SSD. Annoying but that's life.

If the day comes when MSFS does everything better than P3D then I'll switch PF3 over. Of course, I could deactivate/reactivate everytime I change simulator but I don't think I'll bother. ;)

Cheers

It's the second installation of Windows I think. Why do you bother having separate Windows boot?

I've never had two different simulators before and so I thought I'd keep things completely separate with their own Windows and M2/SSD drives. Not so clever as it turns out.

Mmmmh... I have FS9, FSX, P3D and MSFS all on the same PC running Win 10 and no dual boot. All works fine and a lot less complicated IMHO
