Hi,

I am wondering where PF3 gets the information about gates and taxiways at an airport..

I am using MK Studios Dublin with P3D v4.5, using the latest version of PF3. I did run the update PF3 database.

Firstly, I select gate R109. However, PF3 says I am gate 74 when I call for clearance. Before requesting taxi I was looking at the chart (see attached) and I was expecting maybe something like:

Taxi via DS, F-INNER (Foxtrot Inner), F3, F2, F1 to holding point E1 for RW28L. Instead I got from ATC: Taxi to holding point 28L via A, T, AT 6, C, F2, A, B1 and E1.

Now, the first part about the runway was correct (and according to ATIS runway in use). The second part however did not make sense at all.

By the way, it would be insanely cool if the phrases "link", "inner" and "outer" could be added at some point. This information should already be in the AFCAD, because even the default ATC assigns those taxiway (except for spelling every letter of the word using the phonetic alphabet, which kinda spoils it).

Kind regards

Kyrre Andersen

PF3 gets all its data for taxiways, runways, etc, from FS via MakeRwys. If there are any discrepancies it is possible there's an issue with MakeRwys (although that's highly unlikely in my experience) or it's a problem with the third party AFCAD
