I have SID/DP and easy atc selected, so pre-2.12 I was usually told that I'm "cleared to 8000 (etc) delta papa." But now with 2.12 I was told to "fly runway heading" then at 300ft I was told to "resume own navigation", I was given no altitude instructions throughout the flight, never got to a DP handoff and was only communicated with when told to contact tower when I reached FL150. I gave up at 65nm to landing because of no instructions to start descent. Also I pressed "0" to check in and my VCP at FL250 said "out of 250 fer."

Thanks

Please send me the debug_monitor.log file from your PFE\Logs folder for that flight. However, if you've flown another one since the log I need will be named old_debug_monitor.log and if you've flown more than two flights since this problem occurred the evidence is gone for good, so please try and recreate and send me the log immediately after

Not to hijack the thread and first Happy Easter... I have a weird departure problem on a route I fly alot even with previous releases. KBFI-ESSA, departed 13R via PAE. Intial at 3000 then 8 then 13 then 15. This happened on the previous flight also but that log is gone already. The first time I thought it was a climbing left turn. I dont think PFE issues those instructions?? Anyway continued to turn but was going to miss PAE. Turned right direct PAE and continued the climb. Heading 030 i kept gettin calls to turn left to 265. Turned and then got reported off course. Turned back again and continued. At 15000 Ft i never got any more climb instructions. Continued to FL330. Still getting the 265 calls. Just to humor ATC I did a left 360 turn and continued. Finally turned again got called off course. requested vectors which were correct then got turned to 315. Same thing, off course and back to flight plan heading. BTW I am now using the latest build with latest build FDC just FYI. I actually forgot I had it on the machine after 2 years.
Anyhow I'll email the logs sometime in the morning after I land. 7 hours to go.

Dave

Dave

I'm not sure if I've grasped your actual problem but quite simply if ATC tell you to turn to XXX then, unless you're about to hit a mountain, you have to do so. You can't just decide you're going to turn the other way. PFE is even driven and it it tells you to turn to 265 it will monitor you till you do so and may not issue further instructions till you do so

After I had made the turns they started nagging me I was off course. I then requested vectors and turned accordingly and then the turn to 265 came back again. Seems like something was stuck in a loop the whole flight. I had the 315 calls the whole flight. started descent on my own and was going to vector myself in until I started getting vectors from ATC. Never got descent instructions either.I am going to try that flight again. I had used the same flight plan with the same AC many times but I do recompile it each time before usage.

Thanks Dave.... I'll take another look.

By the way, you don't have to compile between each flight.... it's a once only process

The reason I recompile them is because I don't use the same cruise altitude all the time depending on the WX . I figured better safe then sorry. 8-)

Dave,

Just taken another look at your log and despite being told several times to turn to heading 300 you never did... after departing you turned and continued turning till reaching 330. Then after a couple of nags you then turned to heading 027.

Now, I'm not saying we don't have a small problem here but I can't see anything obvious.

Let me know how the next flight goes and we'll take it from there

It was my log. I'll be sending another one as soon as I land. Did the same flight and plan and there is definitly a little bug there where atc sends me in the opposite direction desppite following instructions.

The second time I didnt make the turns was because the previous flight I did and had the same problem but thought it was just a one time thing.
