Mine has been running for about an hour and it just switched from Parsing File 1 to Parsing File 2... is that normal? Hows it for everyone else?

No that isn't normal, the whole process including running makerunways only takes about 2 minutes on my i7 overclocked to 4Ghz. Make sure you have the latest version of makerunways which is currently 4.41 if I remember correctly.

Makerunways is the latest version. Must be noted though that I run PFE over Wideview on an ancient laptop (800MHz Celeron if I remember correctly). Is it a very processor intensive task?

Well if you have a LOT of addon scenery and your running on a slow machine and over a slow network then yes, it might take a while but I can't for the life of me think it would take anywhere near an hour. Mine runs on a networked pc but the client is reasonably fast and I have a GB Lan and mine completes in about 30 seconds

I don't know if my memory is getting worse as I get older...
...I just can't remember how it used to be!
