Hi, i have just bought PFE for FS9, and at the moment am reading my way through the manual.

on page 69/70 of the manual (downloaded from this forum) it says under "AI traffic Detection" that it provides a limited seperation with other landing traffic (basically traffic behind me).

I use at present the freeware AISmooth to deal with conflicting traffic on approach (both AI to AI ,and user to AI conflicts). Do you know if running AISmooth will interfere with PFE ?

I am running FS9.1 on Windows 7.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

PFE and AI Smooth work just fine together. In fact I use both AI Smooth and AI Separator together. I found a very good document on AVSIM detailing how to set these two programs up to work in harmony with each other and to compliment each ones strengths and weaknesses. Been using the same configuration for a long time now and I very, very rarely have any AI issues.

Dave

Thank you for the fast response and the answer which is very welcome. i shall have a search on Avsim for that document you refered too.

There is a lot of info in the PFE manual to take in, and once I have read it and tried a few test flights I am sure I will have another question or two.

Thanks

Peter

Send me an email... I have an old version going back to 2005... maybe that's the latest. Anyway, just read the readme and there's nothing there about passing this on as it was never payware/shareware and used to be available on AVSIM... so I guess I'm not infringing any copyright

There was also a document at the time which full details on how to configure both programs to complement each other. I used it to setup my system but can't find the document for love nor money, so I'm dreading anything happening to my AI Smooth/Separator pc.

If anyone know of the document or where to find it please let us know
