So i created a flightplan with PFPX, ellx DIK3X DIK UN852 GOPAS/N0400F195 UN852 GESLO/N0378F195 N852 LNO DCT SOPVI DCT EHEH, exported it to p3d and loaded it with pf3 from the p3d files directory.

I was told to take off 245 heading and climb. While I was given climbing instructions I never got heading instructions after that.. I had to ask for vectors in the end since I was going to end up in France or something.. .

Once I asked for vectors atc told me something like vectors not possible but to fly heading 360 which was basically a direct to EHEH.I did fly heading 360 and on the way I tried asking for vectors but all i got was your off the airway and to fly 360. I started getting vectors only when I was way past the last waypoint.

My questions would be 1). Why didn't I get vectors after the first and only "..fly 245 hdg" ? and 2.) why was i directed straight to the dest airport ? Would have made more sens to me if ATC directed me to the flight path.

I'm including the logs.

Thanks

16/04/2017 18:49:57: 770 - Transcript: 'Easy 4 Winds 360 at 1 runway 06 Cleared for takeoff fly heading 090 '
But you never turned to this heading, so some time later a reminder happened:
16/04/2017 18:53:03: 020 - Transcript: 'Easy 4 Turn right heading 245 '
You did not reach this new heading until a handoff to Center happened, but only about 30 seconds after that.

I think PF3 got confused at this point (which is a bug, and Dave should take a closer look at this), but if you had turned to heading 90, this problem shouldn't have occurred.
I'll file a bug report for this.

I'll also chime in here to suggest a lower cruise altitude as the whole fpl start to finish is only 126nm. Try no more than FL180 for your cruise.

So my missing the first heading instruction confused atc and that's why it sent me straight to the dest airport instead of directing me to the next waypoint ?

Thanks for your help.

Yes I know the cruise altitude was way too much.I did that because I wanted to see if atc would vector me around till I lost enough feet to line me up with the runway later on :-)

No, ATC didn't 'send' you anywhere, there were waiting for you to turn to the heading they'd previously told you to turn to.

Well, after I asked for vectors atc directed me straight to the destination airport.

Ah, yes ... this is due to:
16/04/2017 19:05:29: 630 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #2 - Jump to next Waypoint!
16/04/2017 19:05:42: 240 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #3 - Jump to next Waypoint!
16/04/2017 19:08:46: 980 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #4 - Jump to next Waypoint!
16/04/2017 19:13:37: 360 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #5 - Jump to next Waypoint!
16/04/2017 19:17:24: 290 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #6 - Jump to next Waypoint!
16/04/2017 19:22:20: 180 - User must have bypassed Waypoint #7 - Jump to next Waypoint!
The closest you got to any of your waypoints (except the first waypoint and the destination airport) was 7NM, therefore PF3 skipped those for you so you don't have to fly circles.

ATC told me to go straight to the dest airport right away when i was not far away from the dep airport. Do you mean that if I got closer than 7nm to any of my waypoints I would have been directed to the flightpath I was supposed to follow ?

Thanks

Try the fpl again. But this time with a listening watch! ;) and see if there are any differences.
