Hi Folks,
I have worked on this for several hours but can't seem to get it to work. By coincidence, i bought MCE just as the PFE3 update came out so things changed slightly..here's where i am. Pilot voice set
(presume it doesn't matter which one) fo mode set to 1, Mute box checked, hot key set to A and added the suggested tweek to the INI file of MCE to stop it dropping the hot key. I get one of two scenarios when i press the A key and then the transmit button on the joy stick, request my clearance but am met with silence. The second scenario is that after transmitting, the PFE voice comes on and makes the request and ATC will respond to him. I can't get the mute box to stay checked but i see Dave is aware of this and has passed it to the Beta team. Interestingly, last night the FO voice came on after i had transmitted but i didn't catch all the instructions so i said 'say again' and the pilots voice then came on and said 'say again' so i assume that something is sort of working as there is no other reason he would have said that?
Any help comments welcome.

To Keep the Auto-Mute function on for now open the PF3.ini file in your PF3 Installation Folder, search for the line "AutoMuteVCP=" and set to

AutoMuteVCP=1.

I guess the inconsistency of your ATC voice commands being understood is an MCE issue; maybe you didn't get the phrase right. I am also struggling with that sometimes. Sometimes I have the impression there are days when MCE understands me better than other days... Sometimes a reboot of the computer seems to help - maybe something with the Windows speech recognition engine.

And I suggest that you assign your PF3 PTT hotkey to your MCE PTT button via FSUIPC, so you don't have to press two keys/buttons.

Thanks Ralf. I followed your suggestions but still can't get it to work, and to be frank i have spent enough time on this. I think it's time to just wait for further developments.
Thanks once again for your input.

I have tried to do this, but I have searched my pf3.ini and AutoMuteVCP= isn't listed in the ini file!

IS this a bad install if the update or something? I have the tick box in options one however!

A small bug, you'll find "AutoMuteVCPS=" ... remove the S.
