I thought as you're only ever answering queries it might be a nice change for you to hear of a really enjoyable and successful flight.

This is what this was with a bit of a twist at the end. The weather wasn't at all bad, cloudy with good visibility and a strong....ish wind at low altitudes.

I was expecting an ILS landing on 05R but when I finally got clearance to land it was for 05L so I cheated and carried on with ILS for 05R until a mile out, then turned the AP off, shifted gently left, kept the nose and speed up and smoothly landed at 120kts. Quickly got the speed down on full flaps and spoilers and off the runway.

Then, I was ordered to taxi to terminal....I might have known! ;) :)

The good thing was this is the longest flight (298.3nm) I've done since having the problems with the sim' packing up. That seems to have cleared up I'm glad to say but I can't claim any credit for it as all I've done is cleaned up everything I could using the IOBIT Advanced System Care, Driver Booster and Smart De-frag programs.

Oh, and my young lady co-pilot is carrying out her duties immaculately and my wife is still as jealous as hell, which is good for my 83 year old ego!

I agree :) Like most people, I imagine, for every 'problem flight' I post about here, I fly dozens more which go just perfectly! So easy to take it all for granted when PF3 performs so well so much of the time!
