Previous ATC messgaes not visible in messgages

When I look at the kneeboard, (sometimes I want to view previous instructions)
my ATC correspondence is not there? When there are messages listed they are ATC talking to other aircraft?

ATC message are not written to the kneeboard... not sure where you got that idea from. You do have an ATC window that you can call up or have permanently displayed if you wish... check out section 7.1.25 in the user guide for more details, the options you need are ATC Log / Say Again

I have the closed caption window, ok I'll try that command. I must have got confused I guess the messages are fsx ATC

As Dave pointed out you can have the ATC log window open when you first connect PF3. Options #2 > Advanced Options and INI File Tweaks, ATC Log section, select Show Log on Connect.

Ok thanks i've activated that I'll try it out.

Can I ask why my PF3 menus look strange, there are words I can't see and read.

Ive attached a pic.

Probably something to do with your screen resolution. Try a different program skin or turn skins off altogether to see if it makes any difference
