Transcript: 'Beech 6429 Continue present heading expect vectors for the ILS runway 19 Left Approach '
Does vectors mean ATC would guide me for landing? What I was listening for is atc would say its ok to fly the IAP chart. Which is always unable at this time.
"Vectors" means approach ATC will vector you to an intercept course to capture the LOC.
If you want to fly a published procedure (STAR + IAP or just IAP), you can either:
set up your initial flightplan so the last waypoint is where you want to begin your approach and tick the box for STARS ACTIVE.....you will be told you are "cleared for finals" once you reach that waypoint and you fly your published approach
OR
when you wish to fly your approach procedure, just request "cleared to finals" from approach ATC. I cannot recal the keystrokes needed, but you can look them up on the PF3 Displayer utility.
