Taxi problems with AI traffic

This is not due to PF3, but I am posting here as there are several people here who are well enough versed in all this and may have some ideas as to 'what gives'..

I have installed MDesign's Domodedovo Airport, UUDD. Very nice it is too, but there is something odd going on with AI traffic there. An aircraft will land, come off the runway and then just sit there, just on the taxiway. And sit there, and sit there.. another a/c lands and then sits behind it, almost blocking the runway now. A third then lands and pushes through both the a/c waiting there. The second to arrive also then pushes through the first and they both move off towards a gate. The first a/c moves forward a little, but several minutes later (as a test, this is at 4x sim speed) is still sitting on the taxiway. It does move off if you wait long enough, but ...

I suppose if the AFCAD were faulty (no faults show in ADE/AFCAD2) the second two a/c wouldn't taxi on to the gates. So why does that first plane not do the same? Why isn't it being cleared to taxi away sooner (whilst later arrivals are)? This happens every time I fly from the airport...

Any ideas, ye gurus of such matters?

I've just highlighted about it not being a PF3 problem so not to get flooded with same issues like yours ;) .
First off if not done so already, i would contact their support team martin, this is more likely a scenery conflct with FS as I have never come across this in all the years I have used FS.
You may need to turn down your AI setting in FS to see if that helps,

Hi...I'd already asked the developer and they just answered my query:

The same thing happens with AI% lower (e.g. 50%) - I only tried it at 100% to get lots of arrivals while testing. For now I just have to clear all AI traffic if I see the runway is blocked (Pause;Sim speed x8;Sim speed x1;Unpause - a/c too far away to use FSUIPC zap), which is a great pity.

Attach the afcad file to your next post in zip form and I'll have a perusal as it's almost certain to be an afcad issue. Make sure you don't have any duplicates.

As an aside, if you are using FS9, you can use the Traffic Toolbox utility (Google it) to selectively zap an AI aircraft (at least temporarily) if it is making your life miserable on approach or causing a backlog at the airport. This works even if it is out of range of the FSUIPC zapper.

Dan, I have the Traffic Toolbox installed already, but I wouldn't want to have to go in to menus to zap an aircraft, I need to be able to do it with one mouse click, which I can with FSUIPC, or with the method I mentioned (I have it set as a macro and mapped to my N52 keypad, so again, one click) to reset all AI traffic back to the gates.

I attach the AFCAD which came with the (payware) scenery. As it's payware and presumably copyright I guess we have to be a bit circumspect, but from MDesign's answer, I am sure they'd be happy if a solution were found. No harm in experimenting, so long as I/we don't upload any files for general consumption...

As I say though, as traffic does move on eventually, I am not convinced that it is the AFCAD itself that is causing this. Certainly all the taxiway links must be OK (I am assuming). It would be great to know why a/c wait so long to resume taxiing though, when all the taxiways are clear of traffic, to solve a mystery.

I haven't found any errors in the file myself, but I am not all that observant a person, so maybe someone will spot something I didn't.

The problem is the afcad file. It's too complex for the AI to negotiate. The runway intersections have not been constructed properly. So as the AI arrive they get confused as to where to go. Unfortunately there is a lot of stuff that is payware that has not been finished off or tested properly and doesn't deserve to be payware.
It's annoying when for example what I have done is for free and taken years of testing to destruction as it were before I am confident to let others use it.

I very rarely buy from Simmarket for this reason, they seem to sell anything and don't give a toss whether it works or not!
