Can it be used with shared cockpit?

PLEASE NOTE:

Hello

Me and my brother want to try shared cockpit (each using his own computer). Would we be able to use PF3 in a way that both of us can hear comms, etc...? It wouldn´t matter if only one copmputer can input commands for PF3 as long as the other computer can hear/read the communications.

Has anyone tried it? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you and your brother wanting to network PF3...if it's networking then yes...but the best person to ask would be the "gaffer" Dave March who would be better to answer your exact queries.

This is a bit tricky. You can see PF3 on one computer (the one running PF3) and hear it on the other by using remotetext.exe
The text display in your flight simulator will be disabled when running remotetext.exe, that's why you can only see it on one computer.

If you just want to both 'hear' ATC then yes, it's very simple. PF3 will be running on one PC and you just connect the sound card line out from the PF3 PC to the input on the 2nd pc and the ALL sounds from the PF3 PC will be heard on the other machine.

Of course then you would hear the other cockpit sounds twice on one computer. If you have a second sound card (e.g. USB) you could redirect PF3's sound to it and only connect PF3's sound. You need https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router or a similar tool for that.
