While testing PF3 I was tuned to departure and getting the expected chatter. I decided to switch to com2 to hear an ATIS from an airport nearby. (KPWT I think it was). Anyway, when I switched back to Com1 I could not hear center, chatter or raise any requests. The only thing that seemed to work was to declare an emergency.

Is this expected behavior? I've been thinking about shutting off PF3 chatter and using default ATC chatter. However, I'm not sure how I would do that.

I personally have never tuned to another ATIS transmission for another airport only the one I am currently at, did your airport have ATIS facilities?

PF3 currently ignores the selected COM, you can only decide in the options if you want to use COM1 or COM2.
So your problem was probably unrelated to that. Do you still have logs?

And another question: Which ATIS did you use? PF3's ATIS would not have worked on COM2 (unless you used COM2 in options), so was it FSX (or FS9/P3D) or something else, e.g. ASN?
