I'm a few steps further, but stuck again. No matter if with or without MCE.

All goes well with clearance, push and start clearance, "ready to taxi" and taxi instruction and readback. But then, should be in the logfile, I'm stuck at the Holding point of runway 33 at EGBB. Shortly before reaching it, I got instruction to change to Tower at 118.3, which I readback. However, when checking in with tower, I get a frequency change in the text windows, from 118.3 -> back to Clearance frequency 121.8.
However, when doing that, I get another taxi instruction to the holding point. Which I have also according to the Taxi monitor, already reached.
No idea what to do then.

What went wrong or what did I do wrong ?

Mike

A quick guess without looking at the log (which was a frequent error for me when I switched to VCP mode #0 :)):
Tower,0,Initial Check-in... ready to TAXI to RUNWAY
Tower,6,Initial Check-in... ready for TAKEOFF
At this point you need to press 6, not 0.

Now I'll look at the log.

Edit: Yes, same error I made more than once :)

Oh, thanks and sorry. I should have read that in the manual !
Now, with MCE it also got stuck at that point. Hm, will check again.

Thomas,

could you do me a favour and check the logfile again ?!

I'm still trying the get MCE voice recognition to work. So with the attached logfile I didn't touch the keyboard at all.

I'm at the holding point as instructed, and try to check in with Tower. Tower frequency 118.3 dialed, MCE recognizes a suitable phrase, e.g. Tower, good morning, callsign, ready for departure" and does something. But I don't get takeoff clearance, I get the FSUIPC window to change back to ground frequency and a useless taxi instruction.
This is a bit similar to using Hotkey 0 instead of Hotkey 6 at the Tower frequency.
Does the logfile confirm that ?

Mike

No HotKey #6, but various others.
(HotKey #10 is Roger/Readback)

Thanks Thomas, that confirms MCE sends Hotkey 0, but not 6.
The various others are identified in the meantime. These come from MCE/GSX. MCE sends number keys 1 to 5, intended for GSX, but instead of GSX they get recognized by PF3.

So to get PF3 and GSX to work with MCE, it is necessary to assign PF3 Hotkeys 1 -5 to something else.

Thanks again
Mike
