Any chance that there could be three possible gates in the Designated Parking Control, rather than just one, given that one size doesn't really fit all? If there were the possibility to designate a reserved space for small (e.g. a319), medium (e.g. b757) and large (e.g. a380) planes at each airport, that would be great! I don't use this feature at the moment as I often end up with a plane that is too big or too small for the gate I reserved. If there were three options, I would doubtless use it all the time.

Not sure how it would work re. choosing which gate would be used, but if PF3 directed you to the most suitable gate according to your aircraft size, that would be mightily impressive!! Otherwise, you'd just choose manually before connecting PF3 to the sim....

(I know you can currently just change the gate for each airport according to the aircraft you intend to arrive in, but that means checking out suitable gates against AFCADs every time you fly: with three gates pre-chosen in PF3 you'd avoid that 'hassle' every time).

Thanks.

This could be part of aircraft profiles, if those will be extended at some point.
Currently only runway size, climb and descent rate and approach speed are set, but I'd like to see things like call sign/airline, push&start settings and maybe other settings different per aircraft.
You just added one for the list :)

For now the best could be to have different sets of PF3\Data\Parking directories and copy the one suitable for your aircraft to this location before starting PF3. Maybe programs like SimStarter or just simple .bat files could make this easier or automate it.

Maybe, I'd just love to see three boxes instead of one in the designated parking setup, 'small', 'medium', 'large'... If PF3 can recognise which to use according to data it reads about the aircraft being flown, great. Otherwise, selecting whichever box is most appropriate manually would be fine too.

As I say, this would mean you didn't have to go and check AFCADs (or other) every time you fly for which gates are small, medium or large: you'd enter the gates once, and then they'd be set for good...

Oh, and a fourth box for a preferred Cargo parking spot too! ;)

I'm not greedy, I just like a lot.
Even if my original suggestion is not feasible for some reason, if there were spaces in the PF3 window to record four gate/parking 'options' for each airport and you had to enter one of those manually into the 'working' preferred parking box each time, that would be much better than nothing. As I say, at the moment (unless you keep your own parking database somewhere - possible, but not very 'neat'!), you have to research which gates are which, small, medium, large or cargo from the AFCAD before each flight. If that information could be stored in PF3, like the preferred gate is now, that would be worthwhile, IMHO.

It might be included in a future 'features update' but there's nothing firmly planned as yet. The maintenance release (due this month) is merely that.
