I'm trying to get the MCE Voice Recognition to work, but am stuck at the clearance already. It's weird to say the least. One example from Dublin EIDW.
Frequencies in EIDW are, as confirmed in PF3, 121.87 for Delivery, 121.8 for Ground.
Without MCE, so with Pilot Voice in PF3, I get the following clearance :
- cleared to XXXX, fly runway heading, climb and maintain altitude XXXX (or FL XX), squawk XXXX
- readback correct
- contact ground 121.8
so far, so good.
Now with MCE. I start PF3, load the flight plan, connect to FS and start MCE. PF3 get recognized correctly. I listen to ATIS on 124.52. And speak my clearance request :
Clearance, good morning, Callsign, with information XXX, ready to copy. Gets recognized correctly as can be seen in the green text window of MCE. The clearance I get is as follows :
- Callsign, cleared to XXXX, fly runway heading, climb and maintain altitude XXXX (or FL XX), squawk XXXX, contact departure on 123.6
Now, whatever I readback, I never get any "readback correct" answer. Usually there are several options, because MCE interprets them, e.g.
Copy, Callsign, cleared to XXXX as filed, climb altitude XXXX, squawk XXXX
or
cleared to XXXX as filed, fly runway heading, climb altitude XXXX, squawk XXXX
or
using exactly the response PF3 uses for the AI planes or exactly the readback from PF3 as above.
Interesting question : Why do I get a useless departure frequency in the clearance ? This facility doesn't exist in Dublin ?
Strange, the AI planes do not get this departure frequency in the clearance.
Maybe this is part of the readback confusion ?
Ah, and my ATIS is sort of empty. Visibility, altimeter, all given as "0"
