double clicked the installer. (Admin rights to install allowed) - Changed install drive C: to G: and let the installer run until it was completed.

It is a custom built pc. Do you think it could be a specific account on my windows being affected. I could try to run the software from another account and see if that would be helpful. Otherwise I’ve gone through all the trouble shooting I could find.

That was the original Direct - X that I installed - which was recommended in another post. I installed it again and ran the program still same issue - PF3 Crashes. There is one other thing that used to pop up for the current flight plan before I turned it off in settings - stars are too close ...

When I run MSFS and start the game in an airport I then try to connect the PF3 to the sim. Usually, a window appears in the game briefly with a black background and green lines.
