Hi,I have an issue with PF 3.21.51.On approach when I am handed off to tower ,I tune tower and transfer the freq to active , after that time PF3 never answers or chatters and does not acknowledge my instructions.
This log is for EGNJ-EGMC but it happens on all flight plans.
I have enclosed my debug log.

Thank you for your attention

Ashley Sear

Hi Ashley,

Please don't post problems in the Feature Request post, that is for requesting new features, etc.

Did you end this flight after hitting Hotkey #1 when tuned to Tower, because the log is incomplete? I'm wondering if perhaps PF3 stopped?

Dave,I had requested permission to land (opt1)and when I got no contact I exited as the ATC for this flight was incommunicado. If you need a full debug log I can do that, but as at that time PF3 is unresponsive on tower I thought it unnecessary. When I exited PF3 was still running and in task manager it did not show as not responding

Thanks

Ashley

Hi Dave,
Have redone flight.and here is the full debug log up to leaving the runway, although PF3 is not exiting-even after a few minutes.I left Pf3 (pressed disconnect)+MSFS (at main menu) running to take screenshot .This may be a clue.I then task manager closed PF3 and this is the log I have sent
It probably is my setup so I hope you can help me as to where to look.I was handed to tower about 12 mile from the airport, but that is when it all started to ignore me.
Ashley

Sorry Ashley, the log is incomplete and finishes just as you hit Hotkey #1 to contact Tower. The problem is this, although PF3 continually writes to the debug log the operating system, in its wisdom, buffers all this log data and doesn't actually flush it out until (a) it's ready to do so or (b) PF3 is closed properly. By closing it with task manager all the buffered data is lost unfortunately.

I understand why you closed it with TM and the reason why PF3 seemed to be 'stuck' was it was simply waiting for you to clear the active runway. Once you're instructed to 'report when clear of the active' PF3 goes into a semi interactive loop. It does have a couple of fall backs... after 2 minutes you will be reminded to clear the active and after 5 minutes it will drop out of the loop and the close you initiated will complete. I know this all seems a bit complex and frustrating but it is what it is. If you at least wait until you get taxi instructions to the gate before closing PF3 then everything will be great.

Sorry I can't help more than this but the precise moment you say you lost contact with ATC is exactly where the log ends.
