I tried the recommendations in the thread. The only thing that changed is the pf3 display now shows what port its looking at.

Doug - you are not alone. I tried to use a shortcut for the first time in ages today, without response, then looked there. I have no idea how long it has been like that.

Perhaps that is why I can't get the free-standing taxi gauge to work too.

I'm going to guess that a Microsoft Update has done sumting.

Small update to the above:

It does not seem to make any difference whether using an old (v4) or the current pf3_display.exe, none of the Ctrl-Shift shortcuts seem to work any more. Confirm that "Use PF3/Web Display" is checked in Options 2.

Hi John,

PF3 Display doesn't control hotkeys it simply displays what they are used for. If you've changed any then it will not be reflected in PF3 Display, unlike the In-Sim windows for hotkeys which does (not available in FS9). You could, however, change the PF3_Disp.dat to reflect any changes you've made to correct the display

Dave - what I am saying is that they don't work any more! Nothing happens when I press the keys.

So with just PF3 running you're saying none of your hotkeys work?

None of the Ctrl-Shift ones that I use, such as requesting change of runway, closed captions on/off. I haven't tried every one.

Haven't tried simple ones like H & L yet, but obviously 0 to 9 are working or I wouldn't get anywhere.

These are my settings:

Also have attached a log for a flight where I made several attempts to skip a waypoint at the start (KSLC) and also to change runway at my destination (KTUS). (I have, since day one, used Ctrl-Shift-R for this as C-S-W clashes with something else, but it has always worked fine in the past).

Confirmed hotkeys H and L do work. So it certainly seems I have only lost the ability to use any Ctrl-Shift hotkeys.

It means that usually flights can be conducted without need for those, so please don't break your neck looking at this.

John

PS - have tested keyboard and can confirm keys are not obstructed by detritus and work fine in other software.

Hi John,

Unfortunately the log you have provided is for a different flight, from ZGNN to ZPPP.
Please can you provide the log for the KSLC to KTUS flight so that we can take a look.

Thanks,
Martin

Tried this with no success. The only change is that the red label now shows the port number.
