Post subject:  Validation check failed

Hi Dave, my install has been acting weird so I ran the validation tool and it failed. says there is a whole bunch of unregistered files. I turned off the AV and manually downloaded the cumulative updates, then reinstalled. I re-ran the validator, still shows unregistered files. See attached Log.zip.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have 32 missing wav files not unregistered files. Those files are contained in the latest cumulative updates package so I don't know why installing that has not solved your problem, unless of course your AV is preventing the unpacking of those file to take place. Why it should have a problem with those and not the many others that are included in the updates I don't know.

So best thing would be to try installing them manually... and here's what you need to do...

1. Unzip the attached into your PF3\WAV folder

2. Open a COMMAND Prompt as Admin

3. Navigate to your PF3\WAV folder

4. Enter the following command in your command prompt and then hit Enter (you can copy and past the following)

charliesnewwavfiles.exe -dir -silent -over

If you get any error messages please let me know... you shouldn't but your AV 'might' complain because you're running an EXE

5. Now run the PF3 Validation check again and let me know what happens

Thank you! I will do this and let you know. I have been disabling MS Defender AV when installing updates, and using elev priv, so it's wierd, but you know, Microsoft lol.
