I took a fast look at your log and there does seem to be a problem with one of the calculations at your contact with Approach but I'm unsure of the reason, and also unsure whether the error message regarding your database could be related. We'll need to wait for Dave to have a look.

Your last waypoint in this case is about 44 miles out and that should work, so something else is going on.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you about this but we've just had a long weekend with family, who we haven't seen for 19 months due to Covid restriction, plus celebrating my wife's 70th birthday.

Please unzip the attached into your main PF3 folder and give it a try... hopefully this will resolve your issues.

Please let us know how you get on

Hi Dave,

You don't have to apologize. Family always comes first!
Thank you for the pf3.exe. I will test this in the next few days and give you feedback by the weekend at the latest.

And thank you Dan77 too, for looking into my problem.

Cheers
Andreas

Hello Dave,

I have now tested two flights. The request for heading 100 has now disappeared. I am now sent to the correct direction after contacting the approach. However, the approach now goes completely wrong. Here in detail. The last flight in the attached debug_monitor.zip was KLAS KSFO. The approach sent me to 310 first, which is correct. Then I was assigned to the 19L, to this point it looked good. But then suddenly ATC sent me to 245 and after a longer time 360, then 315. And then suddenly ATC sent me to the final for 28L (or 28R am not sure now). It happens more often that there is a runway change during the approach. I know this is no issue, because of wind direction change. However, ATC did not inform me of a runway change as I am used to.

My flight KLAS KSAN before that was even crazier. I was assigned runway 9. As with KSFO, the beginning is correct, but then ATC sent me sideways to the airport and not to runway 9. You can see that very well in the KSAN image.

I have attached KLAS.png, KSAN.png and the debug_monitor.

Hope you can find anything
Thanks
Andreas

Hello Dave,

Perfect. This beta works great. KLAS to KSAN took me cleanly to 27, with my usual heading of 215 and then in the final to 245.

KLAS to KSFO also went great, I had a change in wind direction again, but this time ATC gave me a runway change as it should be. Only one little funny thing I had. I was on heading to 220 and then ATC directed me "Left" to 245. :D The next one was from 245 to 315 and this was "Right" as it should be. Anyway. This is just a small cosmetic thing that bothers me zero. I just wanted to tell.

I would like to thank you very much. Really a great support. Now I can get back into my flights.

Cheers
Andreas

Thank you Andreas. One thing I need to point out. When running with an interim (beta) version you will not receive a message regarding future updates to PF3. Instead you need to check this forum regularly and when a new official update is released you should download and install the latest cumulative updates package to ensure your PF3 is up to date.

Thank you for your help with this particular issue.
