Is this possible, unless i have missed it...When you do an early morning departure at 0600Hrs and due to noise abatement at most airports you cannot depart until 0600,could that be implemented that PF3 holds you at the holding point until it's time..so for example you taxi at 0545 and only takes 10 mins,ATC tells you to hold at the holding point until it's time.

Helicopter operations

The glitch when flying a helicopter is PF3 ATC is expecting me to taxi out to a runway to takeoff and land on a runway at destination.

Is there a way to do this?

Flight start:

get the ATIS
get the clearance
go to Tower freq, request takeoff from a parking position
get a takeoff clearance via a heading or SID depending on what you've set up in PF3

Approaching Destination:

If you've requested a designated parking position in PF3, when you go to Tower freq you get landing clearance at that parking position rather than to a runway. (VFR weather)
If you haven't requested a parking spot you are cleared to a runway (you want to perform an IFR approach)

In all honesty I was seriously looking into this some time ago and whilst at first I thought it was going to be an easy addition it began to be quite complex, so I shelved the idea for 3.22.0. I may well revisit it at some point but I'm certainly not guaranteeing it.

Hey Dave, this may or may not be possible or require a major rewrite which I know, ain't gonna happen.
I generally pick my deprt and arrv airports from the fs opening screen, then do touch and goes at various airports in-between.
In order to do this, I have to contact FS ATC and request a T&G. from the nearest airport listing.
Is there any way that PF3 would allow me to contact an Approach or Tower frequency (waypoint or not).

How about using the VFR Free Flight mode?

For real Dave, 8 days/6 islands + an on-board booze pkg. Good times with the wife!

Now back to plane fun. I usually do Free Flight. Attached log should show me trying to contact KISM enroute to KTPA, on frequency 124.45 (Tower). I tune the com and hit "0" for initial contact. Get the hotkey beep but no response from PF3.
Doesn't matter whether this is a waypoint or not. Can only contact departing / arriving / en-route PF3 ATC. Is there a way? Thanks
