Hi,

Not sure what's going on, but the last 3 flights PF3 has closed. The only indication I have is that I'm no longer receiving anything from ATC, then I look and the program is closed. Attaching the debug file. I have started using Axis & Ohs recently. Thanks.

That's very strange indeed. The log doesn't help unfortunately because it looks like PF3 was forcibly stopped... I would expect to see the same thing if you killed in via task manager.

Have you had a look through Event Viewer to see if there's anything related?

Also it would be a good idea to run the PF3 validation utility, just to be sure a DLL hasn't been removed by your anti-virus program.

Hi,

This is the error in the event viewer. Sending you a screen shot.

https://gyazo.com/c1ae2f32501475cc656245896b8d1ae4

And here's the text of the error.

Faulting application name: PF3.exe, version: 3.22.0.0, time stamp: 0x65e1e823
Faulting module name: OLEAUT32.dll, version: 6.2.22621.3527, time stamp: 0x24938189
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00049841

Not sure this gives you any useful information, but I'll run the validation utility as well, see if that helps.

Thanks for your response.

EDIT: I just ran the validation with no errors.

As far as I can tell that's an access violation error... probably a memory issue when accessing OLEAUT32.dll.

I really have no idea why this should happen. It maybe worth you running a memory test to see if you have any errors

In the 'yet another mystery' category I lost ATC on my flight today, but it didn't shut down. In the event log it appears FSUIPC had an error, though best I can tell it didn't shut down either. Though it may have, I didn't think to check it when PF3 disconnected.

Faulting application name: FSUIPC7.exe, version: 7.4.1.1, time stamp: 0x660aa161
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.22621.3593, time stamp: 0x10c46e71
Exception code: 0xc0000005

Faulting process id: 0x0x3558
Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DAA7A8813BC9AB
Faulting application path: D:\FSUIPC7\FSUIPC7.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\ucrtbase.dll

Looks like the same error message. Have you run a memory check?

Yes, and no memory errors.

I am outside my own knowledge area here but at https://superuser.com/questions/1397010 ... rtbase-dll it is suggested that an updated version of the Universal C Runtime may be needed from:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/top ... 7930f3560c

The above may depend on the operating system of course, that is for Windows 10 - what do you think, Dave?

Certainly worth a try. The OP's error message though is different and does (I believe) refer to a memory conflict. But as I say, certainly worth a try so thank you for the input.
