No, I never do that.
- Start FS
- Start weather (FS Global)
- Plan route
- Start PF3
- In PF3, check Sids & Stars settings for runway settings
- In PF3, options 1, set airline call sign and flight number, set desired gate type
- In PF3, load flight plan
- Connect PF3
- Configure and connect FDC
- FLY
I shut down everything afterwards, I never desire to do another flight straight after. Too many chores await.
I developed a workaround for the Parking alternatives two versions back, which might still work (need to do more flights to check that). This was to complete to 8 above and then disconnect, shut down, and restart PF3, after which I would be always taken to the right place. Did the same when changing back to Gate. Maybe this would still work, but there aren't enough hours in the day at the moment to test every permutation.
I can't figure out why it took me to GA parking, though, previously it would have taken me to Gate in these circumstances, so I'm sure you are on the right track.
I'm on FS2004, I'm guessing it works perfectly on other versions of FS or others would be saying the same. I don't suppose you have too many FS2004 luddites?
