Hi,

I just tried a VFR flight and also that works great. I just chose a random altitude without looking at a chart and kept getting the message "request IFR befor flightlevel 40". I assume PF3 knows I should be IFR above transition altitude and reminds me of that or does that mean something completely different?

Best, Marcel

Exactly that.
Though you could override that somewhere in the options to put the VFR limit at 18000 feet, regardless of the current TA.

Edit: But there currently is a discussion in the beta forum to change the behaviour a bit here.
