I used to use two monitors on my PC, but for now at least am only using one. When I open PF3, it does so off-screen, on a 'non-existent' second monitor...

If you hold down the keyboard shift key, right click the PF3 icon on the taskbar and choose 'Move', you can move the PF3 window back to the single monitor with the arrow keys. OK, but all of the PF3 'sub-windows' also open off screen (options, SID/STAR etc.) and I can't see how to get them back into play at all. I can't set up a second monitor now, so I am stuck.

Anyone know how to reset all the PF3 window positions, so they will all open on the one monitor? I tried moving the main PF3 window to different corners of the monitor and trying from there, but no luck.

I don't really want to uninstall the programme and reinstall unless I have to! (I suppose that would fix the issue?). Hope someone can advise...

Thanks

I note from your subsequent email you have now reinstalled PF3 :D

Yes, I couldn't reconnect my previous second monitor (I have just 'seriously' upgraded my flightsim PC so as to fly in VR - which is quite something! - my second monitor no longer has a port on the M/B to which it can be connected). So after spending a frustrating hour (or so it seemed) trying everything to fix the issue, I reinstalled PF3. The PF3 windows all now load as normal, though I suppose if I had waited, there must be a file in the PF3 folder which says where the secondary windows should appear?

Sorry, I forgot to answer this... if you double-click on the Main Menu OnCourse Software icon you get the choice to reset the position of all PF3 windows to their defaults. ;)

This was documented of course in the Version History for the 3.11.0 release back in July
Quote:
CHANGED the way PF3 windows operate. In version 3.10.20 all windows
would open relative to the main menu display. We've now made it so you
can move them around and they will remember their known position. This
should allow you to setup your PF3 displays more precisely. Please note.
PF3 window positions are saved globally, which means the same positions
will be used whichever PF3 profile you load. Also, if you suddenly decide to
move PF3 over to a second monitor all the windows will still be displayed
wherever you had them positioned initially before the move. To make
things easier under such circumstances we have also provided an easy
means by which you may reset all PF3 window display positions back to
their original defaults... that is they will be displayed relative to the
position of the main menu. To reset to their default positions, simply
double click on the OnCourse Software picture at the top of the main
menu display and follow the on screen instructions to continue

Right, thanks! If I read the release notes (!) I'd not remember them anyway :)

So, reinstalled for nothing. Oh well...
