Hello,

On every flight, during descent, after I contact the approach, I get a permanent instruction to change the heading to "100". This behavior occurs only since the last PF3 update. I must say, however, that I use PF3 with PFETOXPLANE. The flight plans are still the same as before the problem occurred. No matter which flight I make (Other airports and other routes also), the heading 100 is always requested. Maybe the new PF3 is incompatible with PF3TOXPLANE and they have to update it? Do you have any hint, which new code in PF3 will trigger this?

Debug monitor is attached. Last flight KLAS to KSAN.

Many thanks
Andreas

I believe this problem has already been addressed in the next version which I am striving hard to release ASAP

Hi Dave,

Do you have any news for the update? Or do you know if I have a way to work around the problem?

Many thanks
Andreas

Hi Dave,

i have installed the 3.11.0 update. The issue is not resolved.
Please see the debug_monitor.log.
My flight was KLAS to KSAN again. FYI, i have aborted the flight after the request. I got the instruction to change the heading to "100" again.
It's almost back to Las Vegas. From my memory normal is the heading 185 in this moment where PF3 sends me to descend.
Unfortunately, I do not know exactly since which update this problem exists. But this can only have been one of the last 2 or 3.

Thanks for help
Andreas

So when you say ATC always give you a heading of 100 is that on all flights or only on this KLAS to KSAN plan?

At the moment where I created this post, all flights were affected and also all went in the direction of 100. However, I do not know now which flights I have completed at that time. But in the meantime I know that e.g. KSFO to KLAS works without any problem. KLAS to KSFO however has the same problem. Here, too, I am sent in the completely wrong direction. Whether also here 100, I would have to test again. Also with KLAS to KSLC it sends me away from the airport. Very important is the info, that I use since months always the same flightplans, which I created with Little Navmap. So it can't be the flight plans, because they are still the same. So unless you have an idea, to narrow down the problem I'm going to repeat all my flights and note which directions ATC sends me. Of course, that would take time. I can manage max 1 flight per day, my real live does not allow more. ;-)

Edit: Would it help to send the debug_monitor.log with another bad flight? I do not know, if you can see the last flight only, if not you can look for KLAS KSFO where it happens too.

In your recent log your list waypoint is too far from the destination airport... ideally you want it to be 20-30 miles. You can't expect atc to vector you direct to the airport... especially when your arrival is a recipricol approach as in this case.

Thanks Dave. I did the KLAS KSFO (not KSAN) flight again today. Again, as noted by you, the message appeared that the last waypoint is too far away. That's why I added the MOVDD waypoint. Now I could load the flight plan without this error message. But I get another error message. "Sorry, we could find the airport name TNX in your database." No idea... ;-)

Today I observed exactly how this happens. The moment I passed the last waypoint MOVDD, ATC told me to contact the approach. Seconds later, before I could even contact the approach, ATC tells me again Heading to 100. So you see, even on this flight, I get Heading 100. Not to KSAN only. The ATC wants to send me back completely. Correct would have been about Heading 270.

I am lost. ;-)

Thanks
Andreas
