FSUIPC 6.1 is running on P3D5.2 with all shares & permissions in order. Just switched to P3D5.2. Uninstalled & reinstalled PF3 v3.10.50 within wide client folder.

Thanks

Any messages?

I'm assuming it used to work but now doesn't? What's changed?

I don't know if my memory is getting worse as I get older...
...I just can't remember how it used to be!

Nothing, as far as I know. I run FSUIPC on separate drive with most of my other addons. It worked on P3D4.5 fine.
I wait till sim completely loads and is ready to fly, b4 hitting 'connect to fs' and make sure only one instance of p3d is running (previous session tends to hang around in memory for some reason). I am at a loss.
thanks

And you've always run PF3 from the same client?

Ah ha, just noticed in the log PF3 can't see FSUIPC at all!

Are you 100% certain WideClient is running?

Well PF3 does not see it running. PF3 doesn't know anything about wideclient, it simply sees it as FSUIPC. Have you tried any wideclient logging?

WC log indicates 'connection timed-out'. Log shows server name & IP are good and port is 8002. When I switched from p3dv4.5 to v5.2 I did not reinstall wide client but I did uninstall & reinstall PF3 into WC. FSUIPC6.1 was uninstalled & reinstalled fresh on the 'server' (Alpha) addon drive.

While on subject of reinstalling stuff, If I uninstall PF3 & WC on client do I need to de-activate PF3 in order to uninstall/reinstall?

Thanks sooooooo much for your patience!
Walter

If you uninstall PF3 then yes you would have to deactivate first, but there's no need to uninstall PF3 at this time

ooook... oops. I did deactivate and uninstall and reinstall and reactivate with one hitch. After updates run (the red/green moving lights), it says it needs to restart PF3, I hit OK, PF3 closes and then a window comes up saying I need to choose install folder. But there is no dialog enabling me to choose the folder, so it is still on version 3.0.0. And still no connection to server.
Thanks
