Is there a way to listen to ASOS and AWOS weather? Currently, PFS only lets me listen to ATIS at airports that actually have ATIS. The only only other option at this point for airports that use ASOS and AWOS is to ask for field advisories, which is limited weather info Are there plans to add this feature? It would add to the realism.

Since PF3 version 3.10.0 (Released December 2020) you can obtain ACARS ATIS for any airport you are flying to regardless if they actually have ATIS or not

From the version history document:-
Quote:
ADDED A new (user requested) feature. This provides ACARS ATIS
reports for ANY airport, regardless of whether they have an ATIS facility or
not. So no matter where you're destined you will be able to receive ATIS
reports to determine weather and landing runway information. This feature
is OFF by default and to activate it you will have to go to the Advanced
Tweaks section to turn it on. You'll find it to the bottom right in the AcarsX
section in the Option #1 screen. Please note this feature ONLY works when
requesting ACARS ATIS.
Does that help?

Doesn't really help. The ACARS text box does not display in VR.

Guess will continue with asking for weather advisories.

Cheers,

Matt

I'm having the same issue - even some major airfields with ATIS don't display when using the 'request ATIS' command. And the vast majority of AWOS stations simply report no ATIS is available.
