Thanks for looking at that Dave. I just thought that flying in a small GA aircraft and being vectored in the opposite direction of the destination for nearly 20 miles might be a bit unrealistic, especially when there is no other traffic around. It's probably how the tube liners do it, don't know about GA. I'm not a RWP so I am no expert. I guess that I will have to stick with VFR.

If you're only flying small GA then try reducing the FAF distance, that will reduce the pattern

I'm sure you'll let me know if it isn't

Seriously though, I'd appreciate your feedback on whatever settings you try

I don't want to steal Dave's thunder but an upcoming release will have a 'Profile' feature that allows you to save the PF3 program options as a named profile and I think Dave intended it for just this kind of situation. You will be able to adjust things like FAF distance, gate type, etc. and save the options for future use. ;)

Hi Dave, me again! I tried 5nm and that reduced the approach pattern. I then tried 1nm and that of course reduced it even more, so much that I like it. It's like doing a VFR pattern with vectors, which is what I wanted. Though it does get a bit hectic in the cockpit! Thanks for the help. Looking forward to the update with profiles.

Thanks for the update. 1 Mile! Wow! Things must get quite rushed I'm sure, but if you're happy with it that's all that counts.
