No mater what airport, flight plan, or aircraft I suddenly always get assigned to 3000 feet even when the airport is close to 3000 feet. I have tried every setting but nothing helps still 3000 feet. Itried to attach the log file but the message in invalid extension.

The log file needs to be zipped to be attached.

1. Clearance certainly didn't repeat the destination airport according to the log you provided
Quote:
5/10/2021 5:09:16 PM: 320 - Transcript: 'Continental 1785 Heavy cleared to Kilo Mike Sierra Yankee on Delta Papa departure cleared to 3 thousand Squawk 3616 Departure 131.2 '
2. I seem to remember someone else experiencing this many years ago. Never did find out what the cause was and as far as I can remember it either suddenly rectified itself or a reinstall seemed to clear it. It's almost as if the randomizing seed is permanently stuck.

3. Can't see any evidence of that because the log ends shortly after you were told to contact ground when ready to taxi.

Sorry I can't be of more help but if you could complete a flight then provide the log it might help us further.

Your first waypoint is only one mile from the airport because you used the departure airport's VOR as your first waypoint. This is much too close and you probably got a warning about it when loading the flight plan. The next waypoint (GVE) is 77 miles away. Your first waypoint should instead be about 20-40 miles out.
Quote:
waypoint.0=, KADW, , KADW, A, N38* 47.89', W76* 51.81', +000280.00,
waypoint.1=K6, ADW, , ADW, V, N38* 48.43', W76* 51.97', +000260.00,
waypoint.2=K6, GVE, , GVE, V, N38* 0.81', W78* 9.18', +000380.00,
Also your preset climb and descent rates either haven't been set or are both 450 fpm. You can try setting these to more realistic values for the aircraft you are flying and see if there is any effect on your climb and descent instructions.

Sorry but I'm not sure what the issue is here. In addition to the clearance to 3 thousand, the log shows

5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - Step Climbs for Waypoint: 1
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - -----------------------------
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - 4000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - 6000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - 8000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - 10000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 280 - 12000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 14000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 16000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 18000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 20000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 22000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 24000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 26000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 28000'
5/12/2021 2:29:48 PM: 290 - 32000'

So maybe there is an issue with the randomizing as Dave said. :?

Yes it's really strange this one Dan. And as I say, I do remember seeing this just once before... a long time ago. I'll do some digging and see if I can find any further details but I honestly can't remember if it was on the Beta or Public forum.

Well I found it and as I remembered a restart cleared the problem. Very strange!

That is exactly what is happening. I tried rebooting the computer but no change I do remember it happening once before and I changed a parameter and it cured it but not this time maybe I'll just reinstall PF3 I don't want to loose it it's a great program. Another thing I noticed it doesn't tell me to resume my own navigation. Oh well thanks for your help and quick response I don't want to take up more of your time so I think a reinstall may cure it.
