Hi, on my last VFR flight, I couldn't raise Center to request flight following. Or more precisely: I could request it, but all I would get as response is a few seconds of static - the same noise that I hear before an ATIS message. Logs attached, it happened on frequency 133.5.

When flying VFR you can't request flight following from Center... the maximum permitted altitude for VFR flights in PF3 is the Control Center's lower altitude. If you venture above that you would have to change your flight plan from VFR to IFR. All VFR flights now (since 3.10) are handle by the new Radar Control

I was IFR BUT now I have sorted SID/STAR correctly we're good go later to day

Ah, ok, thanks. Guess I'll have to have a look at the manual!
