First off - please consider this just a question for discussion...not a criticism. For departure - IFR and VFR radar monitoring - what drove you to utilize a 'fake' frequency rather than using the actual ATC frequency for the area the aircraft is operating in? Few relevant use cases from recent flyi...

Ya know - I've never tried that. I think that is the winning answer.

So for airplanes such as the Kodiak - what are people using as the "callsign" for ATC in PF3? I assume in real life (and assuming you're not flying for a commercial carrier) you'd be "Kodiak 63G" but there isn't a "Kodiak" airline. I guess I have the same question for t...

This already exists - a free download called Enhanced Live Traffic (by Mr Proper) has been out for many months that pulls data from FlightRadar24 and injects it in MSFS. There are limitations with the data when aircraft are on the ground...ie the system doesn't really know what the non-moving object...

Great suggestion - i normally load PF3 before MSFS. I'll play with it a bit. If it's working for you i'll get it working here. Thanks.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else is using FSRealistic with Pf3. I tried it this morning and while PF3 loaded and was running the sound was not working. Not sure if it was a fluke and I'll try it again before declaring a real problem... But has anyone else had an experience.

PF3 ATC Interaction includes aircraft turning, climbing and descending... maybe you've just been unlucky.
Oh ok...yes, then I have been unlucky - I had no idea that those types of calls would be made for the AI.

Thanks,

I'll start running with the Voice IDs displayed and take note when I hear one that seems odd for inside the US (like San Diego Tower).

Which config file contains the matching codes for the voices? Just out of curiosity

Thanks.

I've had this happen often (but not on every flight) and I think it's due to low wind speed making the runway in use a toss up. I'll try to zip it up the next time i see it also just for another case to look at - while it's fixable in the cockpit by requesting a different runway I wish MSFS gave bet...

it does - but from my experience only when they first come into the ATC region (ie - initial checkin - LA Center American 621 is with you). After that it's quiet - so I'm talking about randomly hitting up an aircraft "on frequency" with a random statement so the radio isn't dead silent for...
