Hi Dan, Yes, I did wonder about that when I was setting up the trial flight - I know that there has been discussion in the forum previously about the distances involved in approach procedures in the US, which is one reason why I chose this particular route. I used the Flight Plan Filter feature to l...

I have no problem with flights where my STAR entry point is the final waypoint, this is my normal set-up. Yesterday, as an experiment, I took a flight from Halifax NS (CYHZ) to Boston (KBOS) - here's how the flight plan was loaded into PF3: waypoint.0=CYHZ, A, N44* 52.46',W63* 30.36',+000477.00 wayp...

Looking at your log, you were never handed off from Departure at Geneva to a control sector. I believe that the cause of your problem was the way your flight plan was loaded into PF3 with a SID (DIPI6A) and STAR (APLE1G) defined. For this to work you should mark 'DIPIR' as the SID exit (DP), 'APPLE'...

Any aircraft that loads a flight plan directly from SimBrief is most likely handling this issue - an FMC typically calculates its own climb/descent waypoints. What we are trying to address is how to (easily) import the same FP into PF3, and unfortunately our current approach, the Flight Plan Filter,...

I also use Little NavMap, and quite often load a SimBrief generated plan into it for the sole purpose of applying SID/STAR constraints. Alex Barthel has developed a great piece of software, and is very responsive to user requests for assistance and bug fixes; in the latest version he has fixed the M...

Unfortunately flight plans generated by SimBrief do not currently take account of altitude restrictions in the arrival procedure. If you look at the chart for the RIXU3E approach that it used you will see that at EVGIR you should be between FL090 and FL110, not FL295 in your plan. I raised this with...

I fear Dave may be right and the entire folder has somehow been set 'read-only'. Please try Method 1 from this link to reset the properties of all of the files in the folder: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-fix-error-5-access-is-denied-in-windows-10/8a4069ea-4b0e-4517-9d...

It's in the 2.4.0 default template: 2024-03-03 21_18_38-Window.png Are you perhaps using the Web Display DispDat option? If that's the case then you will need to update your pf3_disp.dat file manually if you have actually customised it. The original sample .ini file for Web Display included DispDat=...

A few questions for you:
What folder is PF3 installed in?
What version of Windows are you running?
What AV software, if any, are you using?

Thanks.

The automatic updater has never worked for me so I thought I would give it a whirl - whilst it has never updated in the past on my system, it has never done any harm. But it did this time, PF3 now crashes when you attempt to load it. It refers to an Error Report that doesn't exist. Hi John, The aut...
