OH! I thought that only was used IF/WHEN you actually setup a STAR/SID for that airport...not every time. I used it recently for a departure and that's I guess when I realized that approach vectors were "missing". Thank you for highlighting what I should have already known.

Here's a second set from Boston (KBOS) to Nantucket (KACK) - same issue - cleared to final (or cleared for the approach...but which approach?) at the last waypoint...and not that it's a big deal but it triggers AT the last waypoint so by the time you get the clearance you are a minute or two past th...

Hi - over the past few weeks i've taken notice that PF3 no longer vectors me to final and rather tells me that I'm cleared to final after the last nav waypoint (like the "own navigation to final" option but with different language and without asking for it). I'm just wondering if this was ...

Got it. Those user way points came from the assumed SID added during the Simbrief build. I think I'll skip using Simbrief as it just doesn't work as nicely (too much cleanup)... I agree with the proper way to file vs how PF3 utilizes the flight plan...oh well, limitations of software.

Good morning campers...here's an issue I couldn't see a close connection to when searching through the forums...maybe you have history with it...maybe you don't. I just starting flying using A Pilot's Life Chapter 2 and I've been using the built in SimBrief connection for the flight planning. In eac...

Would TGS.exe hanging cause the problem with ATC prior to landing? No approach and no tower after that final check of ATIS... It almost seems like it was stuck in a loop.

ok...here's an issue I've had occur a few times - it's not the end of the world but I figured I'd details it here and see what you think. Flight from KABQ - KGTR - IFR, FL210, nothing out of the ordinary. Everything was normal-normal until on decent into the arrival airfield I pulled up ATIS manuall...

I sometimes do a similar thing during VFR flights - depart and contact ATC once airborne like I would in real life from a smaller airfield. As long as you are dialed to the expected departure or center frequency you can jump straight into getting a radar contact. If you contact the FSS you should al...

17 YEAR!?! Wow - good for you. A labor of love. I figured that may have been the case - ensure there is a frequency to use just in case one wasn't easily extracted from the FS database. Keep up the good work!
