Descending in holds. While it is possible to cheat somewhat by saving a flight plan in FS9 text format, duplicating the hold waypoint and then in PF3 allocating different altitudes to the two occurances, it's fiddly and not terribly realistic. What would be great would be to receive descent instruct...

Yeah, I'm aware that women were recruited by the CAA in the US from the early 50s for ATC roles, but they were mostly used in support roles and very rarely actually on mic. Same for some European countries. Nowhere outside those areas. Dan, I was referring only to the period 1950-63. Anyway, my cunn...

No sexism intended, but I fly exclusively in the 1950s when there were no female aircrew or controllers. I understand the principle of exluding voice files, and I wondered if there was a simple way of ID-ing female voices without listening to all of them.

Thanks,

Andy

Can someone confirm something… Holds are only instructed by Approach in PF3? Before someone decides to give me a lecture, I know how it works IRL, but I want to understand some inner workings of PF3. My assumption is that if I have not descended to the Approach altitude set in PF3, I won't get a hol...

Look, it's a straightforward request... How about easing up on the patronising tone? If it can't be done, fine, I'll suck it up, but I'd rather wait for Dave to make that call, if it's ok with you?

I've been using holds a lot lately. I've noticed that notification of holding occurs as the aircraft reaches the hold point. This would have been fine when there was no random hold probability since the user had selected holding and knew it was going to occur. However, now if I have selected a rando...

It's working well here, Dave. Thanks for the effort you continue to put into PF3.

Nobody said anything about a manual to cover specific aircraft types in specific situations. Why make out its such a big deal? It would take a few pages to cover formulating a basic flight plan to give PF3 what it needs and expects. I think you're conferring a complexity on it that not even Dave wou...

You're making all sorts of assumptions that are leading to you to counter an argument that I'm not making. First, all my flying is done in an FS world regressed to the 1950s. I can't even spell F M C. No idea what it's for. I use a sextant :) I don't need to be told who's flying the aircraft, thanks...
