| I have recently aquired the above CD and wanted to update to the most recent version. I am running W7 64 Bit. When i installed the version 3.14 with the autocompiler fond on this forum, it updates ok and i get a new FDC Live Cockpit screen shot (when i load) but then it dissapears and the main FDC screen with options etc does not load. Have i missed something out ? Any help appreciated. Regards Simon |

| Firstly, do NOT install into c:\program files and secondly ensure you stop all other programs during the instal, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs you might have Sent from my Smartphone |

| Hi Dave, Thanks for the suggestions, i have installed outside of program files and all security software was stopped. As i say i get the new FDC opening screen but it then closes and i do not get the options/setup screen. I can update from 2.0.1 to 3.14 cant i ? Regards |

| Yes you can update.... Try running the cumulative updates package again... please ensure you follow the instructions precisely, especially the location where you run it. I've never know this installer to fail.... EVER! |

| Hi Dave, I have done everything i believe to be correct. Just to re-cap; I am running W7 64 Bit Operating System. FS2004 With 9.1 Update. I have FDC LIve Version 2.0.1 on CD which works fine. I downloaded the accumalative installer so that the product would be updated to 3.14. I saved the installer on my desktop, ran it as Administrator with all Anti Virus off etc. When prompted to locate FDC, i browsed and pointed the installer to my FDC which is c/flight simulator. It tells me that the directory exists, install anyway, yes. Few black windows screens pop up during update and it closes. FDC icon is still on desktop. When i run this as administrator again, a new FDC opening screen shot of a cabin appears but then after 5 seconds it closes. Love this product, just wanted to get the newest update possible for it working. Have i missed something ? Thanks for your assistance. Regards Simon |

| Hi Simon, install FS9 to : C:\FS9 and FDC to : C:\FDC do not install FDC in Flight simulator hope this helps |

| Dave, Sorted now. I had to get an update from version 2 to version 3 from the Aerosoft website. When this was installed i then ran the 3.14 update and all is well. Thanks Simon |
