Dave, this is a problem which has followed me on two different systems (XP 32/W7 64) over life of the program and cannot get it fixed, hence I stopped using due to the frequent problems. I decided to try again and thought well, I would contact you . The hotkeys for altitude changes do not function most of the time. I get things like altitudes much higher or lower, or freq. changes to tower for eg. I have installed - reinstalled so many times I cannot remember. I will also get FS9 crashes as well if I switch freq. just as PFE begins to speak when changing freq. like going to ATIS. Have you any ideas that could help solve........I have the boxed version and version 2.12.0 currently installed. I moved it from the W7 default location to C:/PFE in hopes it would help, it has not and when re-installed turned off all security programs I have changed HotKeys to see if that would fix...it did not. PLZ advise if you require additional info...Thank you |

Now does this problem persist in V2.12 or 2.14? As for FS9 CTD,you should have in your FSUIPC.ini a line that says REMOVEATC=Yes under General section(see documentation that comes with it) Also turn the volume down for ATC in FS settings, not OFF or unchecked. As for Hotkeys, you can rename/change them, they could be blocked by other applications in FS,so that might stop them from working.. |

Hi Dave, all that you listed was accomplished during FS9 Installation, except the "removeatc=yes" in FSUIPC...I thought that had been done when I reinstalled everything on this new computer system from older XP computer over a year ago, but was over looked. As for key numbers, Key numbers 1 thru 0 are not used except for ATC, as well as H and L and my other ATC RCV4 only uses the 1 thru 0 keys. All assignments w/in FS9 have been removed, I only use FSUIPC for everything. This has always been my setup. The problem occurs w/ each version V2.12 and V2.14. I have rechecked FSUIPC key useage to ensure no conflicts exist. Any other ideas? I hate to suggest this, but would using F1 - F9 keys as hot keys for PFE solely maybe change things? I use those keys for PMDG doors etc. |

The keying sequence has to be performed correctly when requesting higher/lower altitudes. I.e Hold down the H/L key until you have pressed AND released the numeric key. If using the numeric keypad you need to ensure the numlock is on of course.... Or use the other numeric keys Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S |
