I have installed FDC 2011.I have also downloaded and installed the 3.14 update.I am running the Windows 7 operating system. My problem is as soon as the program starts the VCP states" Auto- Brake RTO".I have the program supposedly set to make that statement after I leave the gate.To further complicate matters the program physically won't switch the Auto-Brake knob to RTO.In fact the program will not move the Auto-Brake knob at anytime,be before take-off or when landing.i have tried uninstalling then re-installing the program with no luck.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You James 1 |

what aircraft are you using? Sometimes you have to manually move the knob and if you have the calls setup correctly in the checklist, the VCP may call "auto brake set to XX" Please see the manual for further info.. |

Hi Dave, thanks for the quick reply.I"m flying a number of different aircraft. The 737-757-747-767-DC-10 MD-80 and the A320 to name a few. After connecting to FDC and after my supposed Flight Attendant lets me know all passengers on board Captain, out of nowhere the VCP says "Auto-Brake RTO.I have the program set up for that announcment after I leave the gate.Of course there is no physical movement of the auto-brake switch.Same thing happens when I'm landing.I have the VCP programmed to set my auto-brake to #2 at 2000ft.It says it did it but nothing.I my past FDC program, version 3.5 I never had this problem.Everything went as it should. Not now. There are some aircraft, developed by some companies, where we are unable to access the auto brake switch Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S |

Dave, I understand that there may be some aircraft that Flight Deck Companion can't completely integrate with.My old copy of FDC was version 3.5 and at the time I was running Windows XP.When I attempted to install that program into Windows 7, I immediately had a notification that this program would not function with 7 so I then purchased FDC 2011.In the previous version of 3.5,everything worked great with all of my aircraft. The 737-800 I fly is the default FSX aircraft. All the other aircraft, being manufactured by two very reputable companies worked just fine in all aspects with the 3.5 version. Now with the 3.14 version and running Windows 7 everything that is associated with moving the Auto-Brake to a position that I assigned no longer happens.Do you have a version of FDC that I can purchase that will run with Windows 7 and is a earlier version that FDC 2011? Fdc version 3.14 is the only supported version and should, and as far as I'm concerned does, work work with the default aircraft. I will double check it here over the next few days and I do not expect it to fail, so why you are having such issues is somewhat baffling Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S |
