Hi to all!

I am a new PFE user, and I find this program quite a step-up over FSX ATC.

I have a few questions about arriving/departing from uncontrolled fields: yesterday I had a flight from LIPX to LIBC (Verona to Crotone, Italy) and LIBC has no APP nor TWR. I had a STAR set up for LIBC, and after correctly issued descent instructions ARTCC tells me to contact a frequency of 0.0 MHz (!!). I tried, once on final (I was on a VOR IAP approach), to tune and speak on LIBC unicom (FSX freq. 119.1) hitting "0" without any results. I landed anyway.

Departing from the same airport, I first contacted FSS 122.20 asking to open FP and then, still on the gorund, I asked ARTCC freq. hitting "4": the answer was again 0.0 MHz !!! Still no way to speak on LIBC unicom on 119.1.

in which I see that center freq. is reported correctly 123.40 and not 0.0: what about center freq of 0.0?
As for my air announcements: maybe I mistakenly entered 119.1 instead of 122.90 before making my announcement. But is not PFE supposed to take freqs from FSX database?

Paulo,

You are not alone! I have this problem too, not on every flight to an uncontrolled airport but about once in three such flights. To date I have not figured out what is causing it.

I'm comforted that it is not peculiar to my system. My most recent was at SBVH Vilhena (add-on AFD file with gates, same comms as original).

It seems that few other users fly to/from uncontrolled airports, hoping Dave M has the answer.

Thank you John,

at least I am not the only one experiencing this problem! I admit that the few flights I made to/from controlled fields have been uneventful and quite smooth, prompting me to prefer PFE to others non voice recognition atc addons so far.
But since I fly mostly GA aircrafts it could be common for me to hit uncontrolled fields: last flight was actually the first one to a minor airport since I have PFE, and immediately I ran across this issue, making me upset.

Hope Dave answers, it may be helpful for you and others as well!
