Dear Support,

I've recently installed PFE and TGS Gauge as explained in the user manual, but despite TGS Gauge is visible (e.g. with a Wilco Airbus panel), its screen remains desesperately black when taxying.

My other concern is with the use of hotkey "1" to activate/hide the TGS. In fact it remains inactive although I specified "Autohide ON" in my window section.

I'm with FS9 and Windows7.

Hope you can help solving my issues.

Rgds,

Marc

Try this..

Replace the tgs.gau in your gauges folder with tgs_position_tester.gau and re-name it tgs and overwrite.

You should see the gauge with green pointer,you don't get the countdown markers that's all.

As for hotkey 1 for TGS activation,make sure none of your 3rd party aircraft is assigned to it or check FS settings or change hotkey to one that is available...

Thank you Dave.

"Tgs_position_tester.gau" now works with the "green pointer" only displayed but is there a change to get a gauge also working with "remaining taxi waypoints"? It should be helpful as it's still easy to get lost with the pointer only.

Regarding "Hotkey 1", this last correctly works with the other commands e.g. "Request landing Clearance", "Request cleared to final"...so I was wondering whether the issue could not be somewhere else.
I 've tried to temporarily reassign my panel "Clock" Icon (less used) to the "TGS" function so that I can Hide or Activate
the TGS Gauge without problem.

Anyway, below is my "panel.cfg" config before using this "clock icon":
[Window16]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=200,250
window_size_ratio=1.00
position=7
visible=1
ident=5000
window_size= 0.200, 0.250
window_pos= 0.800, 0.000
gauge00=TGS!TaxiGuidanceSystem, 0,0,200,250,Autohide On

What is the "Ident=5000" instruction for? Is there something to see with"Hotkey 1"?

Kind Regards,

Marc

If you run a dual monitor setup you can use the TGS_Display,if not then you will still have to use the tgs_position_tester gauge along with the HSI Heading bug for now until a solution can be found.

As for ident at 5000, i'll be honest and say i have no idea..

What other 3rd party aircraft do you use and i'll install it into one you have at my end and see what happens providing i have it,if not it'll be something close..

I use windows 7-64 bit Home edition,i wont be testing anything till tuesday or wednesday (days off)

Ok,just installed the gauge into panel of Wilco 737 PIC and it works as it should.

Now try moving the gauge to another part of your screen,say top left hand corner use co-ordinates 000,000 in your panel.cfg (refer to manual for this in my section for installing gauge)

Now,when you connect to PFE and engines are running etc and you get taxi instructions and at that point you get Taxi monitor connected,if it doesn't show (stays black) just reload your aircraft you are flying from aircraft menu...hopefully it will kick start the gauge into working... ;)

Hi Dave,

Unfortunetely, I tried everything as mentioned below, but my TGS screen remains "black". I also tried with a PMDG B1900...Same result.

To summarize, "tgs_position_tester" gauge currently works with my FS (after renaming it), but the green pointer only is visible. Regarding "tgs" gauge, this one doesn't work at all with my game.

I was wondering if this last wasn't corruped, despite PFE was downloaded again with a turned off firewall. Would there be a way to download a TGS gauge separately?

Thanks again for your help.

Marc

Hi Marc,
sorry to hear it's not working for you,the tgs gauge is installed via package and can't be installed separately.

Maybe Dave M might have some suggestions as to what maybe wrong,but to be honest at times it's like "looking for a needle in a haystack"

Thank you Dave. Meanwhile I keep on investigating on my side. However I remember that someone looked to be facing the same kind of issue last month but I don't know if his case was solved...?

Best Regards,

Marc
