Hello:
I have FDC2011, FSwidgets EFB and airviw, FSC, STBoard3, FSPS FSmanager, etc.etc. and a whole bunch of FSX and FS9 addons running on a network PC.
All of them were very easy to setup on a network, for example FDC2011.
But for PFE I cant find any guide and reference about HOW to do it (either for FSX and FS9) I know clearly two ways, widefs and smmconnect.
For example I have the whole saitek panel and instruments running on a networked pc through simconnect.
ALL of them has there own guide, then this not unfamiliar to me, but for PFE, Im pretty losted.
....specially because your manuals sais nothing about this.
Can be somebody be so kind to guide me step by step through the process of connecting PFED to FSX? as all the other mentioned products respectfully does for their customers on their manulas and guides. Something is missing here, specially taking in mind thatyou does it for FDC....dont understand why not for PFEDeluxe!
I will appreciate your help and support.
Cheers
Mario

If you already have widefs installed on your client machine just install pfe.... That's it!

well....thanks, but Im afraid it is not easy like that.
Your manuals are nice, same for your tutorials, but I thought about widefs after reading on it that "remotetext does not need widefs"....you know that connection to FSX can be doing through simconnect alone installed as a client from the sdk.
Then, there are different approachs to the same thing from developer to developer (even knowing that fsuipc uses simconnect itself with FSX)
On the other hand, to get the FPlans, one should map the drive and folder of fsx and 9. The same to build the database with makerwys because it should exist on the main (server on my case) FSX /9 folder...then it is not "thats it".

Perhaps is not possible to add today this explanation on the manual, but you can make us (your customers, who paid for a product that claims can run through a network) the things easy, sticking one simple explanation at the forums or FAQs.
If not your right answer would be better: "do you want PFED running through a network?....guess it! and spent a few hours gussing by error and mistake trial.
The strange thing is you did that for FDC...dont understand why your policy is different for PFE.
Radar contact is by far better than you on this and dedicate a clear chapter about how to run RC through a network, that is respect for the customers.
This is very dissapointing, your answer is too.
And I will recommend at every forum, blog and site to not buy PFE and stay with RC. Thats it!

Well if you are happy with RC,then you should have stayed with it...simple as that!

Personally i was glad to be shut of it..."thats's it"

And one last thing...we have alot of customers who use it over a network without or minimal problems and are happy and if you decide to "slag off" a product in forums be more tactful than you are here

Have a nice day!

I've been running my copy on a client laptop ever since I purchased it some years back.

Have I had any issues? Yes, of course. Running ANYTHING accross a netowk when using FSX can cause issues.

HOWEVER!!!!! When I have had an issue, a simple and polite request on this forum has ALWAYS sorted me out.

Try learning a few basic manners :?
