Hello, great products! I have several qaustions after 1 flighton which I get congrats by PFE at the end! - Why is FS default ATC still working and still communicate with the other aircrafts? - At my arrival at default KPDX, PFE ATC only ask me to taxi to the terminal? I did something wrong? Thanks a lot. Happy landings Ramoucho |

Hi Ramoucho, You need to turn the FS ATC volume down to zero. That should eliminate the default ATC. For the arrival at the destination, you probably didn't specify an arrival gate? You need to do this for every airport you arrive at using Options 2 when you set the flight up. John |

OK thanks, but by turning off the volume of FS ATC it doesn't avoid some traffic to be handled by FS rather than PFE, no? Or is the whole traffic controlled by PFE? Thanks for help. Ramoucho |

Traffic is not controlled by PFE at any time other than to stop runway incursions by freezing the offending traffic by placing it in slew mode, the rest of the time it only mimics it, FS ATC is still actually controlling the AI traffic. |

Hello ??? doesn't understand your reply Andy. Why PFE is controlling some other aircraft then? PFE gives instructions to aircraft while in the air not only on ground. I have got the two ATC speaking. Thanks for help Ramoucho |

PFE is watching AI being controlled by FSX ATC and it is then reading out it's own version of the instructions with better voices and regional accents, it never actually commands AI to do anything that the FS ATC hasn't already told it to do, just because you cannot hear FS ATC voices it does not mean that it is a free for all in the sky, FS ATC is still in control. The only time it does anything to AI is during possible runway incursions as I had said previously and even that facility isn't perfect because the AFCADs for airports are sometimes built in special ways to reduce traffic congestion which allows them to cross runways regardless of whether the runway is clear or not. The User aircraft on the other hand is a completely different matter and yes PFE is sending you instructions all the time. |
