Hi Ray,

I guess we could investigate further and see if the info for those airports is not being generated by MakeRwys for some reason

Hello Dave

Interesting that there seem to be other issues where, at least possibly, Makerwys is not perhaps producing the data which PFE needs. As this program is vital to ensuring the proper update of PFE, would it be a good idea to take all of this to Pete when he returns on the 30th.

Possibly there is a need for another overhaul of Makerwys - although you could tell him that .

Hi Bernie,

Yes indeed, although without further investigation my guess is it's the same issue as yours... i.e. the data for the particular addon airport is missing. I'll keep an eye on the thread you raised at Pete's forum and see how things progress. I can also chat to Pete about it if necessary.

Hello Dave

As you may have seen, there is a response from Pete in his forum to the Makerwys issue. To be honest, I think he may have misunderstood what we're trying to say.

I think it would be an excellent idea if you gave him a ring to discuss this . . . please ;)

My guess is that there is no problem with "makerunways"..Just a guess..

The two airports that I have that do not respond to TGS are KPVD and KPDX..Both created by Flight Zone... Some developers have unique ways to create runways and taxi ways..That is they do not use AFCAD2 as a utility....When I try to modify these airports using AFCAD2 I get bad or no results...

Some of these hi-end payware airports, though very good, just don't behave to the usual "create airport" utilities...

Cheers..

Pete has replied over at his forum and it is to do with the exclude file included with that particular scenery, the exclude is deleting the relevant runway and taxiway info as well. He explains it far better than I can.

I've seen Pete's latest replies. This could have been short-circuited if he'd read my initial follow-up post where I indicated that I had deleted the 'exclude' and the subsequent scan had produced data as it should.

However, I did also mention here that no taxiway data was produced so that the instruction to taxi was to runway ... blank ...

I still think there may be a small problem in the way in which Makerwys collects/compiles its data.

Hello Dave

The zip is on its way. I think Ray's point is a good one in that the high-end airports are now created in a manner which does not suit programs like Makerwys.
