Dear Sir,
I do know there already has been asked and complained about the error 429.
And I had hoped that it would not be necessary to send this mail BUT.
I'm trying to install FDC livecockpit V3.8.3 on a wind XP pc for about 2 weeks now.
But I keep on getting error 429. I've searched your forum and done as adviced.
turn off anti virus, anti spyware and all other programmas.Install in C\ FDC or D\FDC
I have updated directX, Videocard, sound card.
I did the fdc_accum314 update.( in the FDC folder) cleaned up regestry and defrag.
I've done more then 20 install and deinstall and really do wonder what else can i do?
the only thing I read on your forum is "its a bad installation" has that something to do with
my PC or your software? I never had any problems before installing any software in general and
and most of the simulators.
I do hope there is a solution other wise it means trash cane, cause I'm not going
to spend much more hours on this.

last install is 518 MB

Ok..this is what i would suggest....

Place the 3.83 FDC.exe to your desktop(the downloaded file)

Make sure all folders/files relating to FDC from previous installs are removed from your system

As you stated...turn off the usual programmes and AV and your internet connection (provided you have your registration key at hand..if not copy and paste to notepad)

Re-install to your HD,not default location of C:\Program Files...etc

If this doesn't work,something on your system is preventing it and there is nothing wrong with the software,i personally have installed it on the following systems without any problems...Win XP,Win 7-32 and 64bit

2bad it's still not working, what else except AV firewall and antispyware (even turnd off sound skype and other programs)
can cause the problem?
Maybe need 2 wait for some update( 2 bad programs looks nice would like to use it)

Copy the FDc 3.83.exe to your desktop and run it from there...

What exactly is the error message saying besides error 429 and when exactly does it appear?

If not successful Dave M will probably ask for more info from you when gets around to reading this...ok

I have done so but the error remains.
when starting FDC it shows the dep ICAO correct an when connecting to the sim
The error appears and the error is:
"Error 429, ActiveX cannot create object in setup direct sound routine"

Process of elimination here...

Goto Options on main screen,turn off cabin announcements and any other calls within FDC,which could mean abit of unchecking the boxes...and then switch on one by one after connecting to your aircraft.

When assigning voice sets on voices tab,did you leave as is or process the voice sets?

Are you using a soundcard or onboard sound?

Try this for now

I do use a sound card creative (SB audigy) I switched it off to look
I switched off all the sound announcemts. I tried diff aircrafts.
same problem.
